Sh*t My Dad Says

I told y’all there might be a hiatus didn’t I…it’s a bit crazy as I go through this transition, however come next week I’ll be sittin pretty in Boston 🙂 And fingers crossed back to regular programming.

Anyway, I saw the cutest quiz on Kym at Travel Babbles blog where she asked her Hubs some questions about her blog and other lady stuff and it got me thinking…While I may not have my own “Fox” I do have a very removed from popular society Father.  What could be more fun than to ask an Engineer some questions?! Ok, I realize that doesn’t really sound all that fun but, Hey a Single girl’s gotta pull material from where she can! Just keep reading it gets good…

So this is my Padre…I confess he’s kinda one of my favorite people. To say I’m a Daddy’s Girl is an understatement, though my Mother is one of my closest friends (love you Mom b/c I know unlike Dad, who just subscribed yesterday, you actually read my blog). Anyway, my Padre’s a bit of…how do I say this nicely….an airhead…out of touch….goofball…..hilarious?

A small disclaimer, I promise my Father does love me 🙂

Q: What is the name of my blog?

A: Somethin about blondes, not legally blonde but maybe blondes in the South that don’t sweat?

Q: When did I start writing my blog?

A: *Yikes* When you first went to Boston I think…

Q: What do I usually write about?

A: I have no idea…food? running? RUNNING! HEALTH! Did I get it?

Q: What do you think of my blog?

A: At times it’s funny…..witty? Your personality comes through, but I’m really reaching now…. (gee thanks Dad)

Q: Where is my favorite place to shop?

A: I don’t know…home depot? Oh wait that’s me…

Q: What do you know about Pinterest?

A: Uh…uh….uh…there’s recipes, and I think you learned needlepoint once…There’s that ugly crayon melting thing. It’s a no-men allowed zone.

Q: What are some things you love about me?

A: Your dimples, your love of the outdoors, and sports….(just sports ppl, nothing else) Oh and your bubbly and enthusiastic personality. (See I told you he loved me)

Q: What are some things I do that drive you crazy?

A: I’m drawin a blank (insert collective “aww” here)

Q: If I won $5,000 what would I do with it?

A: Put it in savings although I’d blow it on a new fishing rod.

Q: What’s the first word that comes to mind when you think about me?

A: Blonde (fair enough)

Q: If you weren’t a Project Controls Manager, what do you think your profession would be?

A: Ophthalmologist. (Call me dumb but I had to ask what this was b/c it’s not just an eye doctor)

Q: What’s something you’d like to tell my readers?

A: Boo-lah, boo-lah (apparently this is from a Buddy Holly movie….I warned you he was out of touch) or “Life is great, especially when you’re fishing.”

Did y’all laugh has hard as I did on some of those? …No, just me? Good thing he’s my Dad then and none of y’alls ;P But seriously, I challenge y’all to ask your own Father (or brother, or bf, just someone of the male gender) questions about your blog and see how much they actually know.
